The spring 2006 season featured a lot of competitive baseball for the 9U Marshals. After having some ups and downs early in the season, the 9U Marshals finished on an 18-5 run. During that stretch, the Marshals claimed a Triple Crown State Championship and finished 5th in the Super Series 9U American National Tournament.
Our final record of 32-21 represents how hard our boys worked throughout the season. We played teams nationally ranked in the top ten in Super Series points sixteen times throughout our season and we were consistently competitive with all of them. While it may have been an easier road to play at a lower level, our team really learned how to compete this year and certainly learned the value of never giving up on themselves.
Fall 2006 Update
The Marshals have had a very successful fall, finishing 1st, 2cnd and 2cnd in our three tournaments. The Marshals scored 156 runs while allowing only 79 on our way to a 12-3 record.
Our second place finish at the prestigous Tara Sawyer Memorial tournament was a particular highlight considering there were 20+ teams entered including some of the best teams in North Texas.
We had to cut our fall season short due to some broken bones (Get well soon Shaun and Chase!), but we are really excited about the upcoming spring season.
